When God spoke to Prophet Samuel about the BOY David, He said, “I have found…a MAN after My own heart” (Acts 13:22). Then after David became the manly king that God saw in him decades earlier, he behaved like a childish boy when he craved and got sex with his own soldier’s wife (2 Sam 11). T.D. Jakes observes, “There’s a king in every kid, and there’s a kid in every king.” Apostle Paul tapped into God’s power to tame the reckless kid in him: “When I became a man, I put away childish things” (1 Cor 13:11). Oh LORD, empower me to control the kid in me!
